Will Your Breed Be The Next Banned Bully Breed

Senstationalizm goes a long way to set fear into the people. We've all heard about the horrible things a pit bull has done - perhaps killing another dog or maming a child and so when states, cities, and even insurance companies decided to ban pit bulls in some areas many of us breathed a sigh of relief that this bully dog was no longer a threat.

But wait now the SHAR PEI are also on that list, as are 74 other breeds. - there are 75 breeds on this list that have already been banned or are about to be named a bully dog and thus banned. If you don't own a shar pei your dog is still likely on this list. If you do own a Chinese shar pei your dog is about to come under scrutiny

I'm betting your dog could be on this list. Here's the problem - we are once again blaming the dog rather than the owner. Now there's no question that these dogs have more bully, stuborn, and even aggressive characteristics. But the responsible owner understands their breed, trains their dog accordingly, and recognizes a dog that has bad genetic and then does the hardest thing in their life by euthenizing that One dog! But a whole breed incorporated in a ban?

Look we all need to wake up or the only safe dogs left will be miniature breeds which by the way can be bully dogs with habits that are far worse than these larger breeds. The difference is they aren't seen as a threat.
