Your
puppy will need to be in a safe environment. Here are some tips to help your protect your puppy from harm while
protecting your possessions from your puppy.

Pick up everything off the floor that doesn't belong to the puppy

Remove all the stuff off the low shelves that puppy can reach

Make sure table food is out of your puppy's reach

Choose toys that do not resemble your own personal items. For example don't give your dog old socks and
then expect them to be able to tell the difference between their old sock and your new socks

Make sure your garbage is secure

Train your puppy with the drop command

Close all closets, doors, and gate off rooms you don't want the puppy to go into

Consider crate training

Make sure all toxic substances are put away out of your puppy's reach

Tuck electrical cords under rugs and furniture. Remove cords that could pose a hazard if puppy decides
to chew

Don't open the front door or gate without having puppy under your control. They are very good at
darting and they are extremely quick

Use puppy repellants if you find your puppy is chewing your furniture
